There are days Sophia Murphy doesn't leave her apartment. Some days it's all just too much, and the real world is too big for her to exist in. In the solace of her apartment she doesn't have to meet people, or avoid their eyes, or touch them. In her little space she can be completely alone. She likes being alone.

Today though she's getting a little antsy with being alone in her apartment, and she has decided to venture out. She pulls her thick leather jacket on over her t-shirt and jeans, then slides her feet into her boots. Somehow these are a comfort to her. They help her feel protected and safe when nothing else does.

Sophia knows her father is in New York, and she knows that he wants to see her, but she doesn't want to see him. She doesn't want to talk to him. She's tired of his reasons and excuses. It's always about him and his pain and his drinking, and she's tired of it. She knows what it feels like to want to drink all of the pain and memories away, but she doesn't because of him.

So today she is leaving her apartment, her anxiety and worries aside. She's walking through the city with her arms tight around herself, and she's finding her way to a local art fair. She'll wander around and look at things, maybe look for someone she knows. Mostly she's just there trying to put herself in the real world.

"hey, hey you!"

Maddie is waving at the girl, trying to get her attention from behind a booth. She and Tegan are both in town and Tegan is holding a sale of some of her original stuff.. Maddie, being a good aunt, offered to help out.

"C'mon, come here, just for a minute." She's not really sure how to sell art but she's giving it a try. She figures the first step is to get someone to stop and look at it and that's what she's trying to do.

Abby is visiting her parents. It's not a big meet-up, though a couple of other people are in the area, but she missed them, and her big sister was visiting, and Gabe had a car he wanted to try out, and well -- it just seemed like a good time for a visit.

They're all a bit scattered right now, though, each wandering off their own way to what interests them in the art fair. Abby is examining a lovely, if incredibly abstract, painting when she looks away to stretch and notices Sophia in the crowd.

She slips away from the painting she's looking at and towards Sophia, calling out when she's close enough to be heard in the crowd. "Sophia!"

[OOC: When you said you wanted to play with them as friends I assumed you meant friends already. If this isn't what you mean, uh, poke me and I will change this comment. XD <3]>
